I joined this list because I've owned a 700C for more than a year, and found very little traffic on comp.sys.laptops about ThinkPads. It's disappointing how quickly the 700s and 720s have been obsoleted (but not that surprising, and of course pleasing if you waited to buy one). Are there any other 700/720 owners lurking out there? Is there a 700/720 mailing list? I can't even find 700 option announcements on the IBM ftp host (ibminect.awdpa.ibm.com, in /pub/announcements). --Cy-- P.S. IBM has dropped the price on the Port Replicators for the 700 to $49 (a mini-dock). A great deal! The 240 meg drive upgrade is still $919 though (ouch!). I assume there are no other suppliers for MCA drives, right?
