Both John Kim and I have done this with success. However, John
hasn't ever told us how his disks have survived the test of
time. I lost track of my normal HD disk formatted to 2.88 but
they were fine after a month at least.

OTOH, many of my disks started showing bad sectors for some
strange reason. I don't know if it has anything to do with
the 2.88 format or the TP (I remember reading somewhere that the
TP had some problems with OS/2's formatting).

And that reminds me, the cheapest source I've found for 2.88
floppies thus far has been the Media Factory at around $2.30 per
disk. The number is 800-879-9536.
