Display gone bad

Well, it looks like after three months of use our 750C display
has gone south. My wife took it on the road last week and when
she booted it up one day she said the display was totally messed
up, or as she put it "full of gobbldygoop." I haven't seen the
condition yet myself, but she reports that the image had a really
bad "ghosting" effect and it was full of strange characters. That's
about all I could get out of her because she's really not PC or
even technically literate by any means (and obviously not on this
list :^) The condition went away a day later and now it's back.
Someone she works with who also has a 750C said this is a common
problem with the model. Anyone else heard or experienced a similar
problem?
