Yes. Maybe. No. No. Yes. :-)
IBM is really pushing sales via retail channels this time, the downside
being the street price is much lower than the upgrade price. If you bought
2.1 for Windows recently, you can get a $50 rebate on Warp. I'd call IBM
to check how recent is recent. If you didn't buy OS/2fWin recently, you
might be able to - it's been seen for as little as $15, which after the $50
rebate works to a net rebate of $35.
Otherwise, street price is $70-$85; upgrade price is $129; and full retail
price is something like $189. There is no price difference between CD and
floppy. With 600MB of space available on a CD, the CD version had BETTER
have floppy images on it.
Warp with Win-OS/2 is supposed to be out in a few months and should be $20
more. But each store is free to set their own prices so who knows.
