Another 'feature' of the Trackpoint III is that it is not as tall. Some
insiders at IBM have told me that not a few screens have been replaced
because a dropped or squished TP-75x pushed the trackpoint into the screen
and broke it. Analysis showed that had the nub been lower that wouldn't
have happened.
