Hi, I just took delivery of a ThinkPad 755CE with a 500 meg drive and
8 meg installed.  I'm running Linux (which runs a lot better than the
FAQ would have you believe) and I've gotten PCMCIA support going, at
least for my modem.  Floppy drive works ok, power switch is fine,
XFree86 runs in 256 color mode, all no problem.  Beautiful!  I guess
these compatibility problems have either been overcome in Linux or
resolved by IBM.  Next I plan to get an Ethernet card, probably a
3C589.  My big question is, where should I go for a good deal on a 32
meg memory expansion and an 800 meg hard disk?  My little question is,
is there any support or hope for support of the MWave DSP thingy?  And
my final question is, should I trade this in for the NEC with the
800x600 display and the Pentium 75 processor?
