Subject: Megahertz Upgrade??
I have a problem regarding Megahertz, and their policy up
upgrading their X-Jack's 14.4 to 28.8.
When i first purchased my modem i was specifically told that i
could trade in my 14.4 and receive a 28.8 and just pay the
difference. Well....now i call to follow up on their word and
i'm told by a senior Megahertz guy named Rick Shrader
that, "the policy you refer to is no longer in effect,
we are not in the business of used modems". They
went on to say, "the policy you refer to was only applicable
to the 9600 baud modems". I then informed him if that was the
case, why was that policy of speed upgrade clearly written
on page B1 of the Appendix section of my 14.4 Gold Series
Reference Manual. The date of this manual is clearly written
on the inside of the front cover...the date is 1994. I then
asked him if that policy only applied to the 9600 line, WHY was
it written on a 14.4 manual dated 1994. Mr. Shrader couldn't
reply, all he said was for me to fax him copies of both pages of
my manual.
