Linux: Dual scan frequency ranges....
Hello,
Yesterday, I played a bit with the latest release of SVGATextMode on my
TP360CSE running Linux-1.2.0. It's really a nice program.
I managed to get 80x30 and 80x60 modes. I found it really interesting because
I can get a block cursor instead of just a line. This is really better on a
dual scan screen.
Anyway, my question was about the frequency ranges. This program uses a
configuration file which is very similar to the XF86Config from Xfree-3.1.
Somes modes need special frequency ranges (>70Hz for vertical) although
there are reported as supported directly by many SVGA Cards.
I wonder if someone konws exactly the ranges *actually* supported by the
*DUAL SCAN* screen from the Thinkpads ?
My XF86Config currently shows :
HorizSync 20-40
VertRefresh 60-70
May I increase some values ?
Thanks.
