750c and KIT modem with Card Services

Hello,

I have been given an AT&T Keep In Touch Card (14.4/14.4fax) PCMCIA modem card
and have been trying to get it working with my (super) thinkpad 750c.

This modem is listed in the pcmcia.crd file as being tested successfully 
with the IBM Auto Configurator and OS/2 Auto Configurator.

Everything seems to be the stock configuration...

EZplay recognizes the card as a modem on com2 
	(ATT Paradyne KeepInTouch Card 3761 C01.69.30)

But when I try to use any communication program, the modem never responds back.

Any assistance or suggestions on how to get this working (without using
the kit config point enabler) would be appreciated.
