I wondered about that myself, but I'm pretty sure that the
on-board "Battery intelligence" (which incidently, is not standard on
the 360 series) is not capable of changing the charging or discharging
capabilities of the computer. All it does is measure the current
output against time, and provide fairly accurate estimates to the
computer software ("Fuel") regarding how much time/juice is left. Changing
the charge characteristics would be a whole lot bigger job.
