ISDN modems

	Can anyone tell me anything about ISDN modems?

	I don't know anything about them really, and since I'm about to
start Grad school right here at USC, I've been considering having an
ISDN line installed, given that USC is only a block away and I'm going to
be parked here for at least the next couple of years (someone told me
that Pacific Bell will charge $250 of somesuch to put it in, but will
waive that if you keep the line for two years or amortize the remaining 
cost if you do not).

	Anyway, if I were actually to get this ISDN line, could someone
tell me what is involved?  What equipment would I need?  Could I operate
a regular phone on it? (I'm told there are various channels, etc.)
