modem vs soundcard

You have neither a modem nor a sound card.  You have a DSP and some glue,
and a lot of software in DOS/Win which use it to emulate *either* a modem or
a sound card.  This is particularly useless to those of us who run neither
DOS, Windows, or OS/2.
