Wait a minute...let me get this right...I missed the initial discussion.
Are you telling me the new 755cx I bought (which is being delivered Friday)
does NOT support 800x600 resolution at 65K colors??? This is probably the
number one reason I purchased the 755cx. I do alot of image editing on
my desktop system and wanted to be able to do atleast some of the work
on my new laptop. The color depth is VERY important for this type of
application and IBM specifically states that its active-matrix display
DOES support 800x600 at 65K colors. Here is an exact quote from the
755cx product description I took from IBM's WWW site: "Now, with the
ThinkPad 755cx, we bring you another 10.4-inch diagonal SVGA Black Matrix
TFT displays that give you 65,536 colors at 800 x 600 resolution".
What's going on?
