Video Features on TP755CD

Hello to anyone...

I'm trying to use the Video functions on my TP755CD.  I've installed the enhanced 
video features, setted Windows to operate with VIDEO-IN (video capture), installed 
my Video camera on the right connector, and launched the DIGITAL VIDEO PRODUCER from
the Program Manager.  When I start the capture, the little screen inside the DVP is
black, and so remain till I stop the capture.  All seems right, but from my Video 
Camera, or the VCR, I don't receive the right signal.  
As for the poor help on-line I do something wrong?   
Can anyone let me know if I miss something...?
