Congrats! Do you have a PCMCIA modem? Anyway, I tried my test case, 
developed on my 750C, on a dealer's 750Cs. The only pieces from my system 
were the HD, battery, and AC adapter. In my test case, I was booting 
PC-DOS 6.1 with nothing in CONFIG.SYS except POWER.EXE and nothing in 
AUTOEXEC.BAT except setting the PATH. IBM Support did not attempt to tell 
me that any of my three pieces was at fault. (I asked them if they'd like 
to swap out any/all of them to see if it fixed the problem.) Anyway, IBM 
finally found the problem, but it's built into the system board, so it's 
now a "known limitation" of the 750 series. IBM steadfastly maintained 
that they had received only a handful of complaints similar to mine.
