Hello All, I wrote recently asking for info about refurbished Thinkpads and how could one be sure. Well,,my Thinkpad 755c has finally arrived. It's quite an impressive unit. I have been using XT's up til' now so imagine the difference. Better yet, I won this unit in a magazine contest. 170 meg drive and 75 meg chip.. Only drawback is drive size but.... Now that I finally have a machine capable of trying all the progs i was unable to before, it's a brave new world for me. I read this list daily for any and all info I can get and I thank everyone. My main problem with this machine is soundcard things. I have 4 megs ram and have made my separate boot/audio disk per the manual and it has allowed some progs and some not. Not too long ago I read a thread here about getting proper sound from DOOM games. I have tried Doom now and i enjoy it, but jsut PC sound.. Any tricks?? Is it possible to run thru the sound card? A little frustrating. At any rate Thanks again! Thinkpads are mighty impressive. bedin@channel1.com
