I just received my 755CX about three weeks ago and I have nothing but praise
for it. This is my second Thinkpad (first one was a 720C) and thus far, I'm
glad that I didn't get the 755CD model. While the CD would have been nice,
the benefit of the CD didn't justify the extra baggage it would have
imposed. While there are faster notebooks around, 800x600 screen is
marvelous and the feature set is something others I believe are still trying
to catch up with. Specifically, the MWave DSP chip, the Trackpoint III
(others like the Toshiba don't have as nice a feel), the quality of
construction and last but not least, the great keyboard.

While these are just my opinions, I stand by them as I've been shopping
around not only for myself but my clients as well. They finally settled on
ten 755CE's and they're very happy with them. I'm sure they would have
purchased the 755CX's but they weren't introduced as of yet.

Apparently IBM will be introducing a new Thinkpad soon, a 120MHz pentium
with an 11.3" SVGA dispay.
