MWave and Microsoft Mail Answer

RE: limited success getting Microsoft Mail Remote running through the MWave
modem...

In MSMAIL.INI file (usually C:\WINDOWS\MSMAIL.INI) you need to add the
Exclusive=0 line in the SFSRemote section, as in:

[SFSRemote]
Exclusive=0

This lets Windows do meaningful work even when remote dialing.

Exclusive=0 will tell the MS-Mail remote to let the m-Wave application (a
windows application remember!) run at the same time as MS-Mail remote.

Interesting side effect of the Exclusive=0 option is you can use other
Windows Applications while you are getting your e-mail. Just don't do
anything that takes too long or MS-Mail remote will time out.

You still need the MWave mail script, of course, if your other machines do
not have it yet.
