I must say that Warp is just fine on my TP750C...

You could try using

PRIORITY=ABSOLUTE in the config.sys

This gives OS/2 a more unix-like behaviour in multitasking. 
But I'd suggest you change back PRIORITY_DISK_IO to yes... Otherwise
you will feel that the system is very slow loading apps.

(But it _should_ multitask quite OK even with the factory settings...)
