Re: Suspend Mode Problem under Windows95??
I'm still using final beta (build 347) on my 755Cs, and had problems
until I upgraded the bios to the new version (1.30?). I don't use the
Fn-F4 method, though...I use the suspend feature on the start menu.
Works beautifully.
I've also seen quite a bit of nastiness in general with build
490...that's why I didn't upgrade to it. More problems than the
earlier build.

Hi All,
Has anyone experienced power management problems using Windows95?
Although I've been using Windows95 on my 755CX for a couple of
months, I just noticed that "Suspend Mode" (Fn+F4) does not work.
If I close the cover or press Fn+F4, the ThinkPad reacts like it's
going to implement my command (momentary disk access, etc.), but
does nothing. Standby Mode seems to work okay (display turns off).
As far as I know, I'm running the most recent firmware and IBM
support software. I'm using the "preview version" of Windows95
(build 490), but I'm about to install the "official release"
(build 950) if this will make any difference.
Comments. Suggestions? Thanks.
P.S. - Although this may not have anything to do specifically with
ThinkPads, I still can't get Windows95's power management to
work with my NEC XP-21 monitor eventhough it is fully "Energy
Star compliant". Power management (standby, suspend, etc.)
worked great under WFWG, but not at all under Windows95. Is
there a problem here?
