TP701 prices
I just noticed a couple ads in the NY Times for the TP701C DX2/50 with
4MB RAM, 360MB hard drive, and active matrix color for $1900-$2000. I
called one place and verified the price. This may be a better deal for
some of you who are looking into the IBM friend-of-an-employee offer
(701C DX4/75 with 8MB RAM, 360MB hard drive, active matrix color for
$2600).
Does anybody know how much faster the DX4/75 (16k onboard cache) is than
the DX2/50 (8k onboard cache)? I'm guessing they're both 3.3V since it's
supposed to be upgradable. Other than that and the amount of standard
RAM (and maximum RAM), there's no difference between these two.
