screen prob on 755cs

hi, I'm having problems with my thinkpad 755Cs
the bottom half of the screen has multicolor vertical parallel lines
i thought about having it serviced.
of course i don't have any papers for that "under warranty" stuff.

would any place be able to fix it?  or do i have to go to "authorized
IBM dealer"?
