Re: Thinkpad Carrying Cases




I feel so low-tech. I keep my pad in my Wired messanger bag. No padding, 
no straps, no compartments. Lotsa other room for my papers, pens, 
magazines, cell phone, juggling balls, digital address book, checkbook, 
cigar cutter & lighter, condoms, eyeglasses, earplugs, sugar-free gum and 
little cassette-tape-rolling phone cord.

I find the 'pad to be sufficiently sturdy that I don't feel like I need 
padding. Now, I don't check it when flying or drop it, but it _is_ in 
that bag _every_day_ and has been for the last 1.5 years.

Course, I also painted mine, so perhaps I'm not the person to take advice 
from ....
