  I am running Linux and X on a tp760 with pcmcia.  No problems, though
  I had to move up the the latest Xfree server (3.1.2a) to get 800x600
  resolution on the screen.

  Though I am running a.out, I do't see why elf would have anything
  to do with compatibility.
