Re: WindowsNT 3.51

Mike,
If you have to (BTW, what are the apps ??? There may be OS/2 substitutes ...
) run Win32 apps, the best solution for you since you obviously would rather
run OS/2 is partition your disk such that you can run both. I would recommend
Wind95 to run the Win32 apps. Then just switch back to OS/2 and get some real
work done. BTW, if the apps are Win32s compliant then you could run them in a
Win-OS/2 session. If you're determined to run WinNT, e-mail
Kenneth_Yee/CAM/Lotus @ crd.lotus.com (hope you don't mind Ken). He's been
trying to get NT working on a 760CD and has a lot of info you're gonna need ...

Regards,
  -Bill

Subject: WindowsNT 3.51

Hi folks,

I'll be saying goodbye to my 360CE shortly, and hello to a 755CX
800x600/24/810. I'm planning to ditch OS/2 (sadly, because I need to run
some 32 Bit Windows apps.) My question is this:

I have to choose between NT WS3.51 and '95 (Yeeeeuck!). Of course, I'd
rather run NT because it really does multitask, and it really is fast.
However, I have the distinct imprssion that trying to get NT to do anything
beyond bare-bones operation on a 755cx is going to be a fruitless effort.
Has anyone figured out how to get MWave 2.0 fired up under NT? How about
the 800x600 video? PCMCIA? Of course, I have yet to actually TRY any of
this, and I might be a bit to pessimistic. Let me know if/how I can do any
or all of these things.

Thanks!

-Michael
