Suspend problems on TP 755 (CD)

I continue to have suspend/hibernate problems on my 755 (it's a 755CD).
However, I did find a new version of power.exe in the IBM ftp site under
dos/util that is newer than the one that came with my TP. The file is
d70power.zip. My first test seemed to come out better than before. But the
second time I tried a suspend, my mouse/pointer locked up as usual. That
seems to be the main lockup mode, and it may be due to problems with APM and
the Glidepoint pointing device I use on my port replicator.
