Setup questions

I have a TP755CD, and need some help with setup-type questions, which arose
in trying to run 11th Hour game in pure DOS (I otherwise am still using win3.1):

1. Does anyone know about the command switches for mwave?  I'm trying to
understand mwave.bat, and can't tell the difference between "start" and
"on", or what "reconfig" is for, or what "show" and "noshow" do in parameter
2 place.  Similarly, what do I need to diddle in mwgames.bat?

2. When and how does one use the ibmadvesa advanced vesa support?  I tried
running tpadvesa.exe, but it said it was already running, even though it's
not in autoexec.bat.

3. Should one run dos's power.exe, or is that redundant with those other two
strange autoexec lines of vv3720.exe (or something like that) that seem to
be power managers?

4. Has anyone succeeded with running 11th Hour?
