Is it feasible to install linux (redhat) from the SCSI CD-ROM in an IBM Thinkpad Dock-I? The internal SCSI adapter is apparently based on the Future Domain TMC850/M chip. I have read some material that says that one can patch old kernels (1.1) to get it to work, but because I need to install from it, I cannot do this.
