There was a discussion recently about using the TP750 etc as a TV remote
control. One my travels I thought the following information might be handy.

Introduction 

While looking for information about remote controls and how data is encoded
in the signals, I noticed that there was a lot of good information, but
it seemed to be scattered around in different places on the net. I tried to
combine what I found into one big page on IR remote controls. A lot of
the information that you will find here is not my own work, but rather work
that I have collected. I will try and give credit where credit is due, but I
am sorry if I leave anyone out.
