Unresolvable mail address

A copy of your message is being returned to you because one or more of
the addresses you specified could not be recognized as addresses that are
understood by, or reachable from, this system.

Typically this means that a UUCP site you are trying to reach does not exist
in the UUCP maps, or that a domain name does not exist in the DNS, and
therefore cannot receive mail.

Please check your addresses for spelling errors, or consult with your local
postmaster or system administrator.

This is an automatic message.

P.S.: In bizarre circumstances you will see the address report below
      rewritten as site.dom!user@%s. This happens when your envelope
      address looks like user@site.dom, where site.dom is not a valid
      hostname.

I only use the Windows Mwave support (I don't use mwave.bat or =
mwgames.bat) so I can't help you with this one.

Ditto here, I do not use advanced vesa.

I believe the v7320apm.exe you are referring supports power management =
functions for the Enhanced Video Device/MPEG adaptor only. If you are =
running under DOS/Windows 3.x, you should keep the POWER.EXE line in you =
config.sys.

If you are running under Win95, then you can remove POWER.EXE.

I don't have this game...

Correct. You can safely remove this line. Just remember to refresh the =
hibernation file if you add/remove memory later.

What lines in particular? Note that if you are running under Win95, you =
can *eventually* remove most lines from config.sys, once you replace the =
DOS mode drivers (CDROM, PCMCIA, etc.) by their Win95 counterparts. My =
own config.sys is only three lines long:

device=3Dc:\mww\manager\mwd50430.exe
device=3Dc:\windows\system\v7320mgr.exe
device=3Dc:\windows\system\v7320apm.exe

And my autoexec.bat is not much bigger either:

@echo off
path c:\windows;c:\windows\command;c:\mww\dll;c:\pkware;
set dircmd=3D/ogen
doskey /insert del=3Ddel $1 /p >nul

Hi all,
Name's Ron. I've been using this Thinkpad 755CD since June '95. Presently
configured: Win95; 16mb ram; 810mb disk; 28.8 MWave 2.0 modem (although I've
only had marginal success with 28.8); 2.88mb floppy (it was a replacement by
IBM when the first 1.44 bit the dust!).

Generally very satisfied w/the machine, service, etc. Win95 still seems to
find an extra device in the device manager section which IBM can't figure
out - but it doesn't harm anything. I haven't had any difficulties with
Win95, Netscape or most of the problems I've been reading on
comp.sys.laptops - maybe I'm lucky!?

I wonder if anyone has done the upgrade to Win95 on a 755 and noticed any
problem or improvement.

Thanks,
Ron

This is the right way to do it.

Configure Linux for SoundBlaster (I use SB16), and then run Linux with
LOADLIN. This will allow you to use the sound functions (playback etc) but
there is no way we can figure to use the modem under Linux, I think because
there is no DMA access using Linux and the modem part appears to need to use
one.

Parameters for MWGAMES:

Usage: "MWGAMES ON" loads emulation code
            "MWGAMES ON PRO" loads SB-Pro I emulation code
            "MWGAMES ON PROQ" loads SB-Pro I emulation code w/QSound
            "MWGAMES ON PRO+"        loads SB-Pro I emulation code w/Effects
            "MWGAMES ON MIN" loads emulation code w/o record
            "MWGAMES ON CD" loads emulation code w/line-in to
CD-DAC
            "MWGAMES ON SAMPLES" loads SB-Pro I emulation code with sampled
s
            "MWGAMES OFF"                  unloads emulation code

Parameters for MWAVE: (from reading the batch file)

on
- loads mwdos or mwaudio depending on the configuration set my user in mwcfg
(the reasons it runs mwcfg is because the error codes produced when mwcfg
closes tell the batch script what bits of mwave are needed to be loaded.)

show
- shows the current configurations when mwcfg is run

noshow
- doesn't show the configurations

(same as
\mwd\manager\mwcfg <time in seconds to display> </s for show, /n for no>)

start
- copies over the backup configuration file from \mwave_c to the current
config file.

reconfig
- turns off mwaudio, and then restarts it with the new config file. (Allows
mwave audio to be restarted with the new modified configuration file without
rebooting).

Additional:

Back up your config.sys and autoexec.bat files and start stripping things
out. Its the best way to learn what you can/can't do.

If you can't/won't hack it about then just run \mwd\manager\makeboot.bat and
this will create a boot disk for you in a 'ready to roll' format for games.
i.e. Lots of memory and all the mwave stuff you need.

Happy playing

Alex
