it's actually the power that the memory upgrade sucks.
Power= Current * Voltage
since the memory module is rated for 5volts, and it's power requirements are
constant, you'll find that if the voltage drops to 3.3 then the current
drawn will be higher (5/3.3 times, to be exact) than normal.

this has nothing to do with ohm's law.
