Windows 95 GP on TP 760CD (MSGSRV32)
Has any one ever seen this particular GP?
It first started happening when going into suspend mode. The first
time you try to suspend after a cold boot it will occur and give you a
choice of ignore or cancel. If you ignore, Win95 continues and
subsequent attempt to suspend are ignored. If you Cancel, Win95 locks
up.
I am now also seeing the same MSGSRV32 module's name coming up from PC
Card Directory upon it's "first launch" and none of the PCMCIA cards
are being recognized by Windows95. The PCMCIA cards only show up as
I/O in Directory and as having power on. No resources are assigned to
either the Xircom Ethernet card nor the IBM Data/Fax Modem I've tried.
The problem stays with the hard disk when rearraging things.
I know I can fix the problem by going back to square one but... there's
a lot of work to put humpty dumpty back together.
Does anyone know if MSGSRV32 is part of Windows95 or one of IBM's
add-ons? I have searched both PCCO and MS Web sites and found nothing
so far.
