  My 701CS DX4/75 8/720 only cost $1600 total. At $1140 for the system
board and $900 (if I recall) for the hard drive, that's $2040. Let me
propose something. I'll sell a system board for only $1000 if someone else
will also offer $800 for the 720MB hard drive I will "obtain". What do you
say?  |->
  Seriously, it may be cheap to find another defective 701 with a good
motherboard and take the good board from it. I can't imagine debugging the
tiny 701 motherboard without documentation or support. Augh! 
  Let me know what happens. I'm interested.
