Dock 1 and Linux?

I recall somebody mentioned that they'd purchased a Dock 1 for use with
a machine running Linux, and were wondering if Linux supported it;
unfortunately, I've since deleted that message.

At any rate, this is just a follow-up question: did it work? My quick
perusal of the SlackWare 3.0 notes indicated that it should, but I'd like
something a little more empirical :-)
