RE: What 1.3GB drives will work in 755cx?



I use the 19mm model with the caddy modification, and as I've said before, the disk controller is incompatible with the TP power management - no suspend or hibernate any more :(

Don't forget that the Jaz, unlike the Zip, only comes with SCSI--you'd need to buy the PC card SCSI interface for it at additional cost. But they are wickedly fast...

Hi Ivo,

The Toshiba MK1301MAV will work in the existing caddy.  The Toshba MK2720FC
will fit, but some modification will be needed since it is a 19mm drive and
the case was designed for 17mm or less.  We do have access to a proprietary
metal case that supports the 19mm drive.  IBM ships a 1.2GB IBM drive.
