        Elvin, I don't have two different battery types (all three of mine
are NiMH) but I too have had the occasional problem where the system either
(a) thinks the new battery I put in is not charged (when I know it is) or
(b) thinks the new battery I put in is fully charged (when I know it needs
to *get* charged).

        So far, I don't know that anyone has posted the magic solution to
this problem--sometimes it just "happens".
