Re: 32MB RAM (TP 755CX) for sale or swap for TP 760C RAM

"I saw 32 meg ICs new for the 755 series for $410. 32 meg cards for the
760 series go for $1000-1100. 16 megs go for $350. Just to let you
know the current pricing. All those prices are for new memory. Good
luck."

Of course seeing prices does not mean that you can get working memory
at these prices. I got a very good price on a 32 meg module for the
Toshiba Tecra 720CDT, memory made by PNR, unfortunately it just did
not work! In fact the PNR 16 meg module did not work either (these
modules are both designed for the 600 series machines, and supposedly
should be compatible). I replaced it with MPM memory that works fine.

$410 for a 32 meg card for the 755 is an excellent price (if it works!)

Since memory prices have fallen so much, for some people, depending on
circumstances, you may be better off donating your memory to someone
tax-deductible -- you can probably deduct the depreciated price, and
that can be more than you can sell it for!
