sleeplessness

hi.  i've recently noticed that once i've had a PCMCIA 
card in my 760EL running windows95, the darn thing won't sleep
or hibenate, even after i've ejected the cards.  has anybody
else had this problem?

i used to be using CardWizard, because it came with one of the
cards, but it seemed superfluous under windows95, so i turned
it off.  i have no problem sleeping or hibenating the same system
under Linux, so i don't think it's a problem with either the 
BIOS or the hibernation file.
