Re: my thinkpad beefs

"the first problem i have is really a sales problem. when i ordered
the machine -- a 760EL -- i asked for a second drive to fit in the
UltraBay(tm). when i got the system unpacked, i did indeed have
a second drive, but i couldn't fit it in the UltraBay without an
adapter device, which wasn't included and which i haven't seen any
reference to in any of the IBM sales literature. i felt somewhat
ripped-off, but i may have been unclear when i ordered the second
disk drive that i wanted it for the Ultrabay specifically."

The adapter is quite inexpensive, and is definitely listed in the parts
catalog, so it is no secret. If you did not make it clear that you
were ordering the hard drive for the ultra bay, then you certainly
would not expect to get the adapter!

As to changing things, I never bother with the silly covers at the front,
and I have never had any trouble, that will solve a lot of the problems
with changing things.

My lid lies down PAST 180 degress, so that sounds odd (but my machine is
a 760CD, which may be different).
