They haven't - I don't know what Keith is talking about, but it sure doesn't
intersect with my reality. I often put the newest IDE drives in older
Valuepoints at work. I have to put in an enhanced BIOS card to let them use
drives of >540M, but that certainly doesn't change the PINOUTS. Perhaps
Keith knows of some underground and secret movement making some hitherto
unknown technology.
