Hi,

I am very happy since I am using Slackware 3.0 on my TP755C. It might
be a good idea to spend some bucks for a X-inside X-Server. The
installation configuration needs only 5 minutes of time and works fine
for me.

I do not know how good FreeBSD supports PCMCIA devices during the
installation procedure. But I was able to install my linux via nfs
using my 3com 3c589 network card out of the box. The linux
cardservices are solid as a rock.

The performance of my TP depending on my 20 MB of ram is as much as
you can expect. So FreeBSD would not be slower with 40 MB of ram
(IMHO).

I hope it helps a little bit.
