MMSYSTEM523, Faxworks 3.0/Windows95/Mwave

I'm running the latest Mwave drivers under Windows 95 on a Thinkpad 
755CSE. I also pulled down the latest faxworks from IBM, FWMV058 or 
somesuch. I have the Windows 95 bios etc. So I'm current on software.

For some reason when faxing a work documents via Faxworks, I get told 
MCI Error, MMSYSTEM523, error during PC memory allocation. I may have 
the verbiage wrong, but the MMSYSTEM523 is correct. 

Anybody seen this and know the correction? I'll toss in a hint for 
people to try and create the floppies after downloading software from 
IBM, only be told the diskette has an error. Format the diskette from 
'my computer' 'a drive' and not from DOS!
