With 24 MB:
Linux + X + emacs = swapping.
Linux + X + Netscape = swapping.
Win95 + Word Processor + Netscape = swapping.
Especially with Win95, remember, the fully 32-bit apps eat more memory
because the standard word size is 4 bytes instead of 2 bytes. Bloat
is everywhere. I'd say an extra $150 to get 40MB instead of 24MB is
a good investment. If you find you don't need it, you can always set
up a ramdisk and extend your battery life.

Hey, I paid >$400 just four months ago. I wanted to wait but needed
the memory to meet a deadline. *sigh*
