What 'measurements' show the Tecra as being faster? Processor, disk, video,

Runtime for substantial compilations, involving lots of computation, quite
a bit of disk IO, but no graphic output.

The bus speed difference is less than the processor difference, so that
does not account for things (processor and bus speed differences are
not cumulative!)

Both supposedly have 256KB L2 caches

The Tecra has a PCI bus
