" My guess is my P120 560 might well be on the slower side compared to
many other notebook P120's, but I guess that's part of the tradeoff not to
have to carry an extra 3 1/2 lbs everywhere I go (hey, that's *almost*
another 560! I could carry *two* of them!). It also doesn't get
particularly hot like the 750 and 701 I've owned did (and apparently many
other models of thinkpad have, based on the comments to this list). Though
the "wrist wrest" area in front of the keyboard on the left side does get a
bit too warm--probably where they put the CPU!"
Interesting, the wrist rest gets a bit warm on the Tecra too, even if it
feels like turning its fan on.
By contrast I never detected any heat from the 760CD, other than from the
bottom which got burning hot. It is as though IBM tried and succeeded in
directing all the heat out of the bottom of the machine :-)
