CD-ROM/FLOPPY DRIVE Hot Swapping Problem

Hi,

I would just like to explain further my problems on the topic. I'm using
a 760ELD running under Windows 95. The machine came with Win95 so the
CD-ROM drive is not using DOS drivers. I lift the keyboard up, the
machine goes into suspend mode, I swap the CD for the floppy drive and
when the machine resumes it simply does not see the floppy drive. The
Floppy icon in My Computer is there but double-clicking it would bring
the "Drive not Ready" error. Booting with the floppy and swapping to the
CD-ROM is worse, the CD-ROM icon won't even appear.

I don't seem to see any conflicts in System Properties of the devices.
Called IBM Philippines and they claim that the function only works under
Win3.1 but not WIN95 (did'nt ask about other OSes). But I find this
strange and inconvenient. Just wondering if anyone could help me figure
this out. Thanks in advance.
