Re: 701C and KXL-D720
hi ep!
just a real quick thought, in case the interface doesn't
support cd-audio, and i don't think that pcmcia supports
analog audio on one of it's pins - usually the cd-audio
support over pcmcia works when the controller card also
acts as soundcard... then the audio doesn't have to pass
through those pcmcia-pins...
anyway, my quick thought: sliding my keyboard together, i
just had a look at those three audio-jacks in front of
the modem - isn't the middle on audio in? that's how i
would parse the symbol, anyway, not havin the manual near
and never having used any of the jacks...
what i'm trying to suggest: can't you make a cable from
the headphone-jack on the cd-rom to the audio-in on the
thinkpad? then use the volume-control for audio-in, and
the nifty little tools for the cd's will still work, as
long as they don't try to adjust the volume, too...
now if your cd-rom does support audio, or the jack is in
fact audio out, please forgive, and i've simply improved
my typing skills...
