Oh no, the FAT cluster size will continue to shrink down to 512 KB (at
just below 32 MB) - my desktop HD is divided at just below each 256 MB
line for 4 KB clusters. (In this discussion, K = 1024 and M = 1048576
rather than K = 1000 and M = 1000000.)

I'd guess that just upgrading to 16 MB would help to cut down the GPF 
occurrences.
