TP701, Dock II and Warp 4 Install

The README.INS file for Warp 4 has the following statment in section
21.0:

    IBM ThinkPad 701
    ----------------
    To Install OS/2 Warp on a IBM Thinkpad 701 while in a docking
    station, the diskette drive must be attached to the Thinkpad.


My question is:  How do I make the diskette drive be recognized when
the TP701 is plugged into the Dock II and the Floppy drive is attached
to the TP701's port?   All I get is disk "not installed" errors?
