Hello all, Yesterday I finally succeeded in establishing a Direct Cable Connection between my ThinkPad 701C and a friend's desktop. I spent several hours on this relatively simple task because of an IRQ-conflict between LPT1 and the Audio System. After changing the IRQ for the Audio System from IRQ 7 to IRQ 10, as described in ftp://204.146.167.81/pub/pccbbs/corrective_service/wn95701.txt, the DCC worked smoothly. However, I lost the sound effects of Doom2. The configuration program of Doom2 said that the IRQ for the Audio System should not be higher than 9. Has anyone encountered this problem before, and if so, could you e-mail me your IRQ settings please? In the system section of the control panel I saw that there existed some more IRQ-conflicts. Although they didn't bother me before, can anyone point me to some information on solving these? I am sure there is some sort of strategy one can follow.
